Primary Job Duties
- Carry out all aspects of modern arboricultural work to a high professional standard
- Safely and efficiently climb and work within tree canopies of all sizes
- Use SRS, MRS, and traditional climbing techniques with confidence
- Skilled in spur-assisted removals of hazardous trees
- Perform pruning in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) standards
- Operate aerial lifts with precision and care for pruning and removals
- Experienced in technical rigging for large limb and full tree removals
- Capable of executing aerial rescue procedures when required
- Install both static and dynamic cabling and bracing systems
- Maintain safe work practices, including proper use of PPE at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members while communicating clearly with colleagues and clients
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the arboriculture industry
- Post-secondary education in arboriculture or a related field is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills when working with clients
- Solid knowledge of modern arboricultural practices and climbing techniques
- Proven ability to safely operate aerial lifts, brush chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Current certifications in Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid
Education/Assets/Other
- ISA Certified Arborist or Ontario Certified Arborist (444A) considered an asset
- 0–8 tonne crane competency certification is an asset
- Utility Arborist (444B) designation is an asset
- IHSA Line Clearing Safety and Awareness training is an asset
- Class D driver’s licence with a Z endorsement preferred
Primary Responsibilities
We’re looking for motivated individuals with a few years of experience who are eager to grow as arborists.
- Perform modern arboricultural duties to a high standard
- Safely climb and work in tree canopies of all sizes
- Prune to ISA standards
- Operate aerial lifts for pruning and removals
- Perform aerial rescues as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Communicate clearly and work well with team members and clients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of modern arboriculture and climbing techniques
- Ability to safely operate aerial lifts, chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Working at Heights and First Aid certification
Assets
- ISA Certified Arborist or Ontario Certified Arborist (444A)
- Utility Arborist (444B)
- IHSA Line Clearing Safety and Awareness
- Class D licence with Z endorsement preferred

Required Qualifications

- Emergency First Aid + CPR certification
